"Sadly had three rooms due to some issues reguardless how clean they were and a smell coming from the bathroom, third room was ok and had a nice view over looking the sea and Scarborough harbour, pool and spa a nice touch and the staff were all friendly plenty of choice on the menu for food, just needs to address a few issues to make this worthy of it's 4 star rating and that to me should be considered luxury where as this felt more just above average but not luxury 3.5 / 5 location amazing staff amazing let down by the fire alarm going off which steam was to blame air vents were dirty this needs looking at, house keeping need to work more alongside maintenance to ensure issues are addressed. Safe in second room was broken but maintenance did sort this and were very friendly, reception and spa staff all excellent, can't comment on the food but had plenty of choice and had we not made plans we would of considered the curry night the hotel had on. Over all 3.5 / 5"

"The environment looks average. The room is indeed relatively small for Chinese people. It is not suitable for two people to live together. At the beginning of the hotel reservation, there was no prompt to choose a room. In the end, I was allocated a room with a very bad view. I think it is in the UK. It is said that the price is good, but if you want to live in a more luxurious hotel, you should pay more"

GGuest UserWe had the most wonderful experience at Harcourt Place, the apartment had an amazing view to the beach. The hostess and Sharon were so helpful during our stay and made us feel so welcomed.
10/10 would recommend this place for your stay in Scarborough.
GGuest UserHeading here for work accommodation as a Nurse commuting to the area, I'd had to catch 4 trains and had lots of delays, a 45min walk from the train station lugging my pile of bags . I walked in the entrance of the Premier Inn and got the warmest welcome of all-time staff member Jacob had a massive genuine smile and right away asked about me, advised me and supported what I needed . Totally brilliant Chap should be a Manager great represention of the brand , I'd employ this guy every day of the week The hotel is newly built very smart. There is parking including disabled parking ehich near the entrance but its pay by the day. The entrance is well illuminated and very smart. As well as stairs there are lifts available. The rooms are large well represented. You do have to leave your door card in the socket to keep the lights on. Hair dryers are wired into the rooms with their own mirrors . Lots of hanging space and a large draw for storage Plenty of plugs all around the room with usb poets built in next to the bed. Windows are none opening so you can't get a nice breeze my only flat with the room. Showers are very powerful and hot but are the stand inside the bath rather than a shower cabinet Large TV but you can't get to the USB slot to add your fire stick or chrome cast etc . Kettle and a range of supplies tea bags coffee sachets are in each room. The hotel is perfectly placed for North Bay attractions with good views due to its elevated position on the top of the hill The ground floor has several vending machines which are well stocked I can't comment on the restaurant or food because its all closed at this time due to covid There are plenty of food delivery services in the area which deliver to the hotel and there is a Tesco Express with 3 mins walk. I would refer people to use this hotel and I would use it again myself.
GGuest UserBooked this last minute but the hotel is good and in a great location. Helpful staff with a great sun terrace to have a few drinks in happy hour! A lot of seagulls messing everywhere but that's not the hotels fault, something needs to be done about that problem.
NnigelFirst the positives.
The room was very clean, comfortable and bathroom was obviously recently refurbished.
Breakfast was excellent and good value, but more on that later.
Now the not so good, or could do better!
The check in policy is ludicrous, I understand they need to have a designated check in time, but whilst waiting (40 minutes) I overheard the staff clearly stating that all rooms were ready for guests, but as people were entering the reception they were informed that check was not possible until 3pm and they had to wait or pay £10.00 for an early check in!
The result was a packed reception and when they did commence check in, due to a “new system “ it was painfully slow! Very poor customer service.
The breakfast was good value, but the attitude of the cashier guy was poor at best, probably rude if to be defined. On approaching him I was asked “ breakfast for two “ to which I replied “ no there’s only one” to which he snapped “ well I’m not to know that!”
Not expected and yes rude!
OOldy87We stayed in Room18. Landlady was very helpful, polite and let my kids play on the pool table. Abit of a pain with the parking but allowed me to use their personal car space which was very kind, even offered to pay for my parking ticket to start with. Hallways are warm and well lit. I would stay here again. Thank you
GGuest UserStayed at the Grand Hotel for my 60th birthday with my son and we were put on the forth floor with a lovely sea view we had a drink in the bar down stairs before we retired and you could feel the vibrance of the hotel
