One of THE highlights of 2022 was dragging my beloved Summer Feet™ to their first (and second! And third!) loved location - one of which almost turned into a brawl because, you know, no tougher street than the hike between hills and rice fields.(but that's a story for another day). The Xiaoqikong scenic area is located in Southwest County, Guizhou Province. Xiaoqikong, which means "Bridge with seven little arches" is renowned as a wonderful summer resort in Libo County. From Libo County, we took a taxi and the whole journey was about 30 minutes. We walked to the entrance building, presented our identification cards (Passport for foreigner) and paid for entrance fee. Inside the scenic park, there were free bus rides to take tourists to different sites. Since this place is too big, tourists need at least 2 days to explore it. 😅 Additional tip: Bring your slippers coz you'll surely enjoy the cool water on foot and extra clothes when you feel sweaty from a long walk. 😅 #summervacation #tripblazers #naturewonders

Living in this simple hotel, I knew that the village was relatively backward and there were no decent hotels, so I had no choice but to accept it. However, when I walked up to the rooftop at night, I saw the thoughtful layout and looked into the distance, I was pleasantly surprised. Huangguoshu Waterfall, the first in Asia and the fourth in the world. I went to this long-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall alone, first took the high-speed rail, then transferred to a shared car. After arriving, I bought a ticket on the spot and had to queue up in a long line to get on the electric car. Finally, I saw this spectacular waterfall. Many staff members took photos for me. I printed the photos on the spot as a souvenir. I was very satisfied after checking in in front of the waterfall. It turns out that you can climb a flight of stone steps and pass through the middle of the waterfall to the other side, which is called the Water Curtain Cave.
